Azuki Beans are aromatic and firm-cooking all-round beans. Slightly sweet, nutty flavour and crunchy consistency. As an ingredient in rice and bean dishes, in soups, salads, burgers and as a side dish.
Wash the beans, soak in plenty of cold water for 8 - 12 hours. Then rinse under running water. Boil 1 cup of azuki beans with about 3 cups of fresh water once and then simmer gently for 40 - 50 minutes at low temperature with the lid closed. Only add salt after cooking.
