The small, green speckled lentils are characterised by their nutty taste. They are firm in cooking and therefore do not decompose during cooking. For salads and soups, as a side dish and for roasts.
No soaking necessary. Wash the lentils, boil 1 cup of lentils with about 3 cups of fresh water once and then simmer gently for about 30 minutes at low temperature with the lid closed. Only add salt after cooking.
