These aromatic lentils have a sweetish, peppery flavor and they take up well the aroma of herbs and spices. After cooking, the lentils still have a pleasant and somewhat crunchy bite to them. For salads, soups, paddies or stews.
No soaking necessary. Wash the lentils, boil 1 cup of Gourmet Mountain Lentils with about 3 cups of fresh water once and then simmer gently for about 30 minutes at low temperature with the lid closed. Do not add salt until cooked.
